Sewing for Kids: February Thursday Session
In this fun, hands-on class, kids will learn the basics of hand and machine sewing while discovering the joy of turning fabric into something special. From threading a needle to completing their first projects, participants will build skills and confidence step-by-step. Along the way, they will explore their creativity, develop patience, and experience the satisfaction of making something with their own hands. Whether it’s a simple pillow, a colorful tote bag, or a custom piece of clothing, each project is designed to be easy, exciting, and rewarding for young makers!

Price: $200 (includes book, does not include project supplies such as fabric, zippers, etc.)
You will work with the book, School of Sewing, developing knowledge and transferable skills as you progress. You will start with the basics of materials and tools, and learn how to take care of a sewing machine. You’ll then learn the basics of sewing - safety, planning, measuring, cutting and fixing mistakes! Each week, you will work through a project, either from the book or something else you come up with.

Tim is absolutely extraordinary in his knowledge of sewing, knitting, crocheting, weaving, and the list goes on! He is creative, patient, and great fun.
Supply List
A Supply List will be provided the first day of class.
The projects to be made during the class will be discussed at the first meeting with the necessities to be purchased for upcoming classes. The components for the first class will be provided by Sew Santa Barbara. Notions, such as scissors, rulers, cutting mats, etc. will also be provided and shared by the class.
