Intermediate Garment Sewing: Five Wednesdays 1pm to 3pm

Unlock endless possibilities with this exciting, skill-building sewing class! Perfect for students who already know how to navigate a pattern envelope and select fabrics, but are ready to take their sewing to the next level. Whether you’re tackling tricky sizing issues or diving into more complex techniques, this class is designed to help you master the art of garment construction—over and over again. Feel free to repeat the course as many times as you like, with new challenges each session!

Class #1: Dive Right In
Bring your sewing machine—we’re getting hands-on from the start! In this session, you’ll hit the ground running by preparing your project with fabric washed and pattern pieces “bubble cut” (cut beyond the size lines, leaving sizes intact). If you're feeling confident, go ahead and pin your pattern pieces to the fabric—but hold off on cutting! We’ll cover grain-line, pattern coordination, and everything you need to start cutting and sewing your project in class. Need help threading or operating your machine? We’ve got you covered!

Classes #2 to 5: Bring Your Vision to Life
Now the real fun begins! Over the next three classes, you’ll focus on constructing your project, from zippers and buttons to intricate sewing details. Depending on the complexity of your design, you may not finish within the four sessions, but no worries! You’ll leave with the expertise to continue creating at your own pace. Ready to tackle more? Repeat the course and challenge yourself with new projects every time!
