Class Policies

Before signing up for a class or an event, please check your schedule and read our class policy carefully. To be fair to our teachers and presenters as well as other students we must remain firm on our policies. By registering for a class or event, attendees enter an area where photography and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication, and its use for future promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let us know and we will do everything we can to exclude you from any photography or recording.

Class Fees: The Class Fee must be collected when you sign up for the class to guarantee your seat. Sew Santa Barbara will not “hold” a seat for you. Full payment of Class Fee guarantees your seat.

Refunds: Refunds are given when you cancel four days prior to class day or earlier - You will be given a FULL refund or we will be happy to register you in another class. There are no refunds on class fees for “Special Event” teachers/classes within 30 days of class date unless we can fill your spot with another person. NO EXCEPTIONS!

There is a minimum of 4 students in all classes. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, registered students will receive a full refund or credit for another class, whichever is preferred by the student.

Cancellations: Cancellations received with fewer than 4 days notice will NOT be refunded nor will we be able to offer credit toward another class. Sorry, we are not able to make exceptions. This ensures the teachers are compensated for their time, and other students waiting for spots in full classes are not missing class opportunities due to late cancellations. No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange.

Class Time: Please do NOT wear perfume to class due to allergies of others. Please do NOT bring pets, guests, or significant others, to class.

Miscellaneous: We only allow service dogs in classrooms and event spaces. This is to protect our customers and instructors who may have allergies that would prevent them from fully partaking in class should such an animal be present.
